When it comes to nail polish, winter generally brings to mind deep berries and smooth chocolates. This winter, I say no to dark and yes to light and warmth – specifically, yes to nudes.
Super flattering on your hands and nails, nude shades of lacquer are classic and polished. As much as I hate when my nail polish chips, nude shades mean that said chips are less noticeable.
My current favourite is Revlon’s Colour Stay in Bare Bones – one coat, three days and nary a chip in sight. Available at Priceline, department stores and pharmacies.
Another go to is Revlon’s Sheer Translucide Nail Enamel in Sheer Pink. This has been my last resort, must-look-polished-right-now enamel for years now… well, at least 6 that I can count. I have been through many a bottle. Looks particularly great with a tan. Available wherever you normally buy your Revlon.
Finally, there is that persisting beauty editor recommendation; OPI’s Bubble Bath – the perfect, feminine but not too girly, nude pink. Available at OPI stockists (David Jones springs to mind)
